FIELD: processes for drying loose dielectric materials, particularly sodium iodide.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of dehydrating raw material till mass content of its humidity 5 - 7%; cooling it up to 60 - 65°C and performing final vacuum drying at temperature 70-80°C and pressure 25-30 mm Hg. It is possible to use SHF-heating for performing final drying.
EFFECT: lowered energy consumption, improved quality of raw material.
