FIELD: firearms.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in the fact that the construction of the weapon provides for one or several accumulators of mechanical energy, the accumulators are charged at a shot from the energy of powder gases, the reloading mechanisms are actuated only by the accumulators. The potential energy is accumulated in the accumulator by means of a gas engine connected to the bore by a gas-discharge port and having a gas piston, which is moved by powder gases in the direction of the muzzle end of the barrel up to the complete charging of the accumulator, displacing the rod coupled to the gas piston, then the engagement of the rod with the reloading mechanism is accomplished, and then, due to consumption of the accumulated potential energy, the gas piston with the rod engaged with the reloading mechanism is displaced either in the whole travel of the reloading mechanism, or in a part of it, in the reverse direction, and the weapon is reloaded by displacement of the reloading mechanism in such a way.
EFFECT: provided solution of the problem arising at designing of the weapon-reduction of the mass of the breech block and other parts of the weapon.
