SUBSTANCE: reload mechanism with a shutter-locking spring and a weapon generator can be used in the design of an automatic reload mechanism with a perpendicularly arranged gas piston. The reload mechanism with a shutter-locking spring consists of a receiver, a shutter, parts ensuring the locking of the shutter, a part that ensures the movement of the shutter to the locked position. As a part providing the movement of the shutter to the locked position, a spring influence the shutter in such a way as to move the shutter to the forward position and turn the shutter to the locked position is used. The weapon generator consists of parts that ensure the conversion of part of the mechanical energy of the projectile into electrical energy and/or parts that ensure the conversion of part of the mechanical energy of the moving part of the mechanism of reloading firearms into electrical energy. The automatic reload mechanism with a perpendicularly located gas piston consists of parts that provide automatic reloading of firearms, among which there is a gas cylinder with a gas piston located in it. The gas piston is located at an angle of 30 to 90 degrees inclusive with in relation to the longitudinal axis of the bore of the barrel or relative to a conditional line parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bore of the barrel.

EFFECT: simplifying the design of firearms, reducing the weight and dimensions of weapons, increasing the accuracy of fire.
