FIELD: metal working.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises determining dynamic microscopic hardness by embedding the surface layer of the wedge-shaped part with indenter whose rigidity pronouncedly higher than that of the part and measuring the sizes of the mark. The indenter is embedded subsequently with various energy of impact from the side of the wedge edge in the direction perpendicular to it along one of the surfaces of the blade. Each impact should not affect the sections of the part which were deformed during recent impacts. The dynamical microscopic hardness is determined after each impact by dividing the energy of plastic deformation by the volume of displaced material. The dependence of dynamical microscopic hardness on the depth of penetration of the indenter is plotted.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
