FIELD: test engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device (1) comprises movable clamping member (2) and unmovable clamping member (3) mounted in the vicinity of movable clamping member (2). The members have internal spaces (2a,3a) that receive specimen (15) to be tested. The device is made for permitting loading the movable clamping member to move the movable clamping member (2) with respect to unmovable clamping member (3) to provide shear of specimen (15) in section (14) between movable and unmovable clamping members The device is additionally provided with means (16) for measuring the value of the load.

EFFECT: reduced time required for test.
