SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to an absorbent structure with a layer sequence containing at least one first and one second outer layers and at least one in-between liquid collection layer; the layers are superimposed and form a layer structure; at least the liquid collection layer comprises a cellulose material, preferentially cellulose fibres, and a superabsorbent polymer (SAP), preferentially SAP-particles and/or SAP-fibres; the liquid collection layer contains at least less binding agent that liquid storage layers neighbouring the liquid collection layer of the absorbent structure; preferentially it is free from the binding agent. The absorbent structure both wet, and dry, has high elasticity. Preferentially, it is applicable for manufacturing of disposable products. A method for producing the absorbent structure and a related device are also described.
