METHOD OF TWO PHASE HARVESTING OF FLAX, HARVESTING AND PREPARATION OF FLAX STOCK PROCESSING UNDER UNFAVORABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS (TWO VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A01D45/06 

FIELD: agricultural engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method includes flax pulling with spreading of flax stalks in band, drying of stalk and bolls with ripening of seeds in bolls and on stalks, picking up of plant bands with separation of seed bolls from stalks and spreading of stalks in band and resting flax stock in bands, picking into portions and putting into cones and drying of stalk bulk in cones, forming of swath from dried flux product, picking up swath and forming rolls, carrying rolls from field, unwinding the rolls at flux primary treating plant and forming layer of stalks for processing stock into flax fiber. After ripening of seeds in bolls on stalks and till end of resting of stock at favourable weather conditions, bands of plants are picked up with separation of seed bolls from stalks and spreading them in band for continuing of resting to form stock. Remaining part of bands of stacks with balls which have not been picked up because of weather conditions, as they grow ripe, are picked up in portions which are put in cones for drying. Dried stock with seed bolls is formed into swath. According to first version, swath is picked up with separation of seed bolls from stalks. Stock without bolls is immediately rolled up into bobbins and sent for processing. At flux primary treating plant rolls are unwound, layer of stock is formed and the latter is fed into flax straw breaker-and-scutcher. According to second version, swath is picked up and rolled and bobbins are carried from field for processing. At flux primary treating plant rolls are unwound, layer of stalks with seed bolls id formed, seed bolls are separated from stalks and layer of stock without seed bolls is directed for processing.

EFFECT: improved quality of flux stock and yield of seeds.
