FIELD: agriculture, in particular, flax and treated flax fiber harvesting method.
SUBSTANCE: method involves harvesting flax while spreading flax stem strips on soil and turning strips or puffing thereof during treatment of flax fibers; picking up strips for forming portions of stems and drying the latter in cones or tents; forming windrow from said portions; picking up said windrow and deforming into roll; transporting resultant rolls to treatment zone. During carrying out of one of flax harvesting and flax fiber treatment operations, two channels are formed simultaneously in soil at uniform distance from one another, said distance being 120-150 cm depending on width of flax stem strip. After performing of drying process in cones, portions of treated flax fibers are deformed into windrow between said channels for further winding into roll. Treated flax fiber portions are oriented with their apexes toward roll mid portion and stem roots are aligned with channels. Equal number of portions are laid adjacent to each of said channels.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and increased yield of long fibers upon treatment of flax fibers.
