FIELD: house appliance engineering.

SUBSTANCE: microwave oven with coffee maker contains hardware section, its internal surface being meant for mounting various electrical components; container, positioned on one side of hardware section; vessel for water, positioned in upper portion of container; cone, positioned below vessel for water and having a filter for extracting coffee; water feeding pipe, including a first pipe, connected to water vessel, and second pipe, meant for feeding drinking water directly into cone; tubular water feeding element, positioned on the bottom of container, and by one end connected to first pipe, by another end - to second pipe; heating element pipe, having a heating element, meant for heating drinking water, passing through tubular water-feeding element; and temperature measuring block, positioned close to heating element pipe and meant for measuring temperature of heating element. Method includes stage, at which user activates the coffee maker block; stages, at which drinking water is fed from water vessel along the water feeding pipe and tubular water feeding element, and simultaneously with that heating element is activated, positioned in the pipe of heating element being in contact with tubular water-feeding element, for heating drinking water, running along tubular water-feeding element; temperature of heating element is measured periodically by means of temperature measuring block, positioned close to heating element pipe; temperature alternation speed is computed for heating element in accordance to measured temperature, and electric power for heating element is cut, in case if temperature alternation speed of heating element exceeds a certain predetermined value.

EFFECT: possible prevention of damage to electric components of oven resulting from overheating of heating element.
