FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to improved methods and devices for production of coffee-based beverages, in particular - those to be prepared with the help of coffee machines using steam pressure. The coffee beverage preparation device causes passage of extracting liquid medium through a coffee portion (W) by way of the said liquid medium heating and contains a separation means (10, 15) and an obstruction means. The coffee beverage production method includes the extracting liquid medium heating to cause passage of the said extracting liquid medium through a coffee portion (W) to produce the said beverage; additionally envisaged is separation of the said beverage fraction produced by means of the prevalent liquid phase of the said extracting liquid medium from the additional fraction of the said beverage produced by way of the prevalent steam phase of the said extracting liquid medium.
EFFECT: achievement of high quality beverage production.
