FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves electromyography examination for determining bioelectrical activity under volitional contraction of anal sphincter muscles and volitional anal sphincter muscles or surgically formed closing rectal apparatus contraction time. Then, electrostimulation is carried out to determine individual electrostimulation period duration. Pause time between electric current actions is determined to be 1.1-1.5 times electrostimulation period long. Anal sphincter muscles or surgically formed closing rectal apparatus electrostimulation is carried out in interrupted mode during 6-8 h a day during 15-20 days. The functional muscle state electromyography examination is repeated. Electrostimulation parameters are adjusted in accordance with varying muscle capacity for work.
EFFECT: improved tonic and volitional intestinal content holding with muscles using individual electrostimulation program.
