MEMBRANE APPARATUS WITH THE VARIABLE SECTION OF THE STREAM Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B01D63/06

Abstract RU 2280496 C1

FIELD: separation, concentration and desalination of solutions.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of separation, concentration and desalination of solutions by the methods of the reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration. The technical result of the invention is the increased productivity of the membrane apparatus due to improvement of the hydrodynamic impact on the separated stream. The membrane apparatus contains: the tubular membrane module made in the form of two coaxially arranged porous bodies with the applied on them semipermeable membranes; the branch pipes for inlet of the source solution, withdrawal of the filtrate and the concentrate. One porous body is made in the form of the stationary hollow cylinder, which inner surface is made in the form of the narrowing downward truncated cones sharply transforming into the cylinders, which diameter is bigger than the diameter of the smallest base of the truncated cones and is equal to the diameter of the bigger base of the truncated cones, and the butt planes of the smallest and greatest bases of the truncated cones coincide with the butt planes of the cylinders. The other porous body is made in the form of the mobile hollow cylinder, which outer surface is made in the form of the expanding truncated cones sharply transforming into the cylinders, the diameter of which is less than the diameter of the greater base of the truncated cones and is equal to the diameter of the smallest base of the truncated cones, and the butt planes of the greater and the smaller bases of the truncated cones coincide with the butt planes of the cylinders. The movable porous body is mounted inside the stationary porous body with a capability of the reciprocated motion with the help of the friction units. At alignment of the butt planes of the truncated cones and the cylinders of the stationary and the movable porous bodies between the surfaces of the truncated cones forms the narrowing conical channel with the minimum annular gap, at the outlet of which the stream of the escaping solution experiences the greatest vortex in the formed cylindrical channel.

EFFECT: the invention ensures the increased productivity of the membrane apparatus due to improvement of the hydrodynamic impact on the separated stream.
