FIELD: automotive industry; air conditioners.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices aimed at creating and maintaining comfortable temperature conditions in saloon of automobile. Proposed air conditioner contains heat exchanger with branch to let main and auxiliary flows in and out, compressor, swirl pipe installed at auxiliary flow and connected by cold end to inlet branch pipe of heat exchanger. Swirl pipe inlet is connected with compressor outlet through air cooler with main and auxiliary flow inlet and outlet branch pipes. Hot end of swirl pipe and outlet of heat exchanger are connected to inlet branch pipe of compressor. Main flow, owing to fan blowing, consists of cold air flow directed into automobile saloon and hot air, flow, also directed in to automobile saloon or into atmosphere. Volumetric flow rate of auxiliary flow through swirl pipe is from 10 to 30% of air getting to compressor inlet.
EFFECT: simplified design, provision of required cooling capacity in swirl pipe both and at running and at standstill.
