FIELD: chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of hydroxylated aliphatic compounds by using an oxidant and the oxidation catalyst. Method involves continuous contacting at least one saturated or unsaturated aliphatic compound comprising from 6 to 30 carbon atoms in the distillation column reactor with the oxidation catalyst and oxidant at temperature 50-450°C and under partial pressure of aliphatic compound from 0.01 atm to 40 atm of hydroxylated product. At least part of indicated aliphatic compound is in a liquid phase. Method involves continuous separation of hydroxylated product from unreacted aliphatic compound in distillation zone by evaporation of unreacted aliphatic compound and maintaining the hydroxylated product in liquid phase. Extraction of hydroxylated product from distillation column reactor involves the fractional distillation. Preferably, nitrous nitrogen is used as an oxidant. Also, preferably method involves using aliphatic (C15-C18)-compounds that are prepared by the Fisher-Tropsh process or by oligomerization of ethylene. The oxidation catalyst comprises zeolite and at least one metal chosen from the group consisting of ruthenium, rhodium, iron, magnesium, cobalt, copper, titanium and iridium. As a variant, the method is carried out with catalyst based on molecular sieve and oxidant at temperature in the range from about 50°C to about 450°C and under partial pressure of aliphatic compound in the range from 0.01 atm to 40 atm to form the hydroxylated product with retention of at least part of indicated aliphatic compound in liquid phase.
EFFECT: improved technology and improved economy and energetic indices of process.
