FIELD: general engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of turbine wheels which can operate at high and very high medium temperatures even at no cooling, particularly, to manufacture of nonmetallic wheels of turbine for promising high-speed gas-turbine engines. According to proposed of manufacture of turbine wheel from composite material, carbon fiber preliminarily impregnated with heat-resistant binder is wound on attachment and blank, thus formed, is subjected to pressing. Winding of carbon fiber onto attachment is carried out in the following reinforcement directions: first carbon fiber is wound in radial direction through cuts made in main and auxiliary dummy rings in direction from trailing edge of wheel blade. Then carbon fibers are wound in circumferential direction around main dummy ring in direction from trailing edge of turbine wheel blade. Winding is done in alternating layers until attachment is filled up. After completion of winding, carbon fibers wound in radial direction are tightened up, and interblade inserts are fitted between them. Carbon fibers projecting from interblade inserts are cut off from outer side. Then auxiliary dummy ring is removed and assembled attachment with wound-on blank of turbine wheel is placed into die and acted upon by punch. After solidification of binder, wheel is taken out of mould and interblade inserts are taken out.

EFFECT: possibility of making light-weight noncooled turbine wheel from composite material.
