SUBSTANCE: proposed electromechanical power unit that has ac motor whose rotor shaft is directly coupled on one end with output shaft of heat-engine and on other end, with drive wheel through clutch, gearbox, main transmission, and differential, semiconductor converter connecting stator winding to storage battery, and control system whose outputs are connected to control inputs of semiconductor is also provided with additional intermediate rotor inserted in stator-to-rotor clearance whose shaft, and not second end of main rotor shaft, is directly coupled with drive wheels through main transmission and differential.
EFFECT: simplified design and control, reduced mass and size, enhanced reliability, speed, and efficiency of electromechanical power unit.
