Self-propelled machine contains engine and electromechanical transmission containing traction generator, traction motor, controller and braking resistor adapted for conversion of electric energy in power buses to heat energy. Design of braking resistor provides internal channels of liquid cooling or external cooling ribs, corrosion-resistant to ICE cooling fluid, and / or oil, and / or fuel. Braking resistor can be built in structural element of self-propelled machine washed by heated medium. Controller connects braking resistor to power buses both during thermal preparation of self-propelled machine to operation at low ambient temperatures, and in presence of overvoltage on power busbars.
EFFECT: reduced time of thermal preparation of machine.
