FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a washing and disinfecting solution for treatment of soft contact lens that comprises sodium chloride, silver ions in the concentration from 5 to 10 ppm and metronidazol in the concentration from 10 to 50 ppm. Method for preparing the solution involves carrying out magnetic treatment of water followed by addition of sodium chloride, silver ions and metronidazol in amounts to provide the concentration of silver ions in the ready solution from 5 to 10 ppm and that of metronidazol - from 10 to 50 ppm. Lens can be placed in the proposed solution, or this solution can be applied on lens and treatment time of lens must not less 20 min. Invention provides stability of bactericidal properties of the composition and stability under the light effect.
