FIELD: electrolytic production of aluminum, namely cathode devices of aluminum cells, seals of cathode rod leads.
SUBSTANCE: seal of cathode rod lead includes bellows and plate with opening. One end of bellows is fluid-tightly joined with cathode rod; other end of bellows is fluid-tightly joined with cathode jacket having windows for passing cathode rods. Plate with opening is fit onto cathode rod with possibility of motion along its axis and it is arranged at inner side of window for passing cathode rod and it closes said window.
EFFECT: possibility for providing absolutely fluid-tight seals of cathode rod leads at any movements of cathode rods during operation mode of aluminum cell.
