FIELD: nuclear transport reactors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed inlet chamber has guide vane mechanism assembled of a number of segmented curvilinear diffusers. The latter are gradually reducing through height and have trapezoidal inlet holes on ring-plate. Diffusers are rectangular in section at outlet; they are interconnected to form annular header. Diameter of the latter is not smaller than outer diameter of core bottom grid. Wedge-shaped displacers are installed at corners of trapezoidal inlet. These displacers form round opening of maximal diameter equal to that of plate hole.
EFFECT: reduced hydraulic nonuniformity of coolant flow at core inlet and coolant mass in core chamber.
