FIELD: mineral fertilizers production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for potassium-containing fertilizers from potassium production waste and consists in determining potassium content in brine when performing pumping excess brines of potassium production to burial place through brine conduit and, when this content is above 5 g/L, brine conduit between burying place and concentrating mill is shut off and brine is directed to sorption column packed with natural zeolite selectively isolating potassium from brines, brine leaving the column being periodically analyzed on potassium content. When zeolite is saturated with potassium ions it is pumped out of the column and replaced further with fresh portions of zeolite. Zeolite saturated with potassium from excess brines of potassium production finds use as prolonged-action mineral fertilizer or is subjected to desorption in concentrating mill.
EFFECT: increased amount of potassium transformed into mineral fertilizer from potassium deposit ores due to its recovery from excess brine of potassium production.
