FLEXIBLE COUPLING Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC F16D3/12 F16D3/80

Abstract RU 2282068 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, devices used for connecting misaligned shafts and decreasing dynamic loadings applied to drive power unit.

SUBSTANCE: flexible coupling has two half-couplings connected through flexible members. Drive half-coupling is equipped with rollers. Two thrust prisms located within driven half-coupling are supported by planks, with feeler surface of thrust prisms cooperating with rollers. Feeler surface of thrust prisms may be made straight, inclined or parabolic. Flexible members are located between thrust prisms. Hydraulic springs with pneumatic hydraulic accumulators are positioned in parallel with flexible members.

EFFECT: reduced dynamic loadings transmitted from driven shaft to drive shaft and provision for compensating axial displacements of shafts.
