FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, equipment used for connecting misaligned shafts and reducing dynamic loadings upon power unit of drive.
SUBSTANCE: elastic damping coupling comprises two half-couplings connected with one another through elastic members made in the form of rotating levers, which are mounted on spindles of second half-coupling. Rotating levers are connected with their one ends to pins located on first half-coupling and with their other ends to slides disposed in guides provided in second half-coupling and adapted for exerting action through springs to plungers of cylinders mounted on second half-coupling. Cavities of cylinders are connected via hydraulic pipelines to throttles incorporated therein. Pneumatic hydraulic accumulators may be connected to hydraulic pipelines.
EFFECT: wider range of elastic damping characteristics of coupling, reduced dynamic loadings transmitted from driven shaft to drive shaft, and compensation of axial displacements of shafts.
