DEVICE FOR FASTENING PARTS BY FREEZING METHOD Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC H01L35/28 B23Q3/00

Abstract RU 2282279 C2

FIELD: thermo-electric equipment engineering, in particular, construction of thermo-electric devices for fastening parts by freezing during their mechanical processing.

SUBSTANCE: device contains thermo-electric battery, driven to thermal contact with part (freezing object) and system for dumping heat. Thermo-electric battery consists of alternating branches, connected in electric circuit by means of commutation plates, made respectively of p-type and n-type semiconductors. Electric connection of branches is realized by means of contact: p-type branch - commutation plate - n-type branch, where p-type branch contacts end surface of one of surfaces of commutation plate, and n-type branch - to another one. Each branch in thermo-electric battery contacts by opposite end surfaces to two commutation plates. Commutation plates have area, which is somewhat greater, than area of transverse section of branches of p- and n-types. End of commutation plates, forming cold contacts, project beyond one surface of structure, while ends of commutation plates, forming hot contacts - beyond another one. Free ends of commutation plates, forming cold contacts, are formed with T-shaped section and are soldered to areas, electro-insulated from one another, made in form of films of metals or alloys, applied to ceramic plate, on opposite side of which freezing object is mounted. Free ends of commutation plates forming hot contacts are mated with heat dumping system. Space, limited by ceramic plate and surface of structure, formed by branches of thermo-electric battery, is filled with thermo-isolation.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and reliability of fastening process.
