FIELD: technology for efficient limiting of short-term and long-term overvoltages.
SUBSTANCE: limiter contains variable resistor 1 and unloading route connected in parallel to variable resistor. Unloading route contains distributing device 4, recommended to be made in form of semiconductor switch and loaded by long-term current, which device is made with possible closing when limit value is exceeded by signal, depending on working parameters of variable resistor. Variable resistor 1 is positioned in first section 24, and distribution device 4 - in second 28 of two sections 24,26,28, positioned at a distance from one another in direction towards axis 20. In third section 28, being on determined potential, means 5 are positioned for activating distribution device 4.
EFFECT: compact modular construction with simultaneous increase of reliability of operation of voltage limiter.
