FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method involves placing electrodes in the heart zone and recording electric potential changes as time function (electrocardiogram). The electrodes are placed in aorta zone and in cardiac apex zone. The first derivative is drawn from the built electrocardiogram function and characteristic points being cusp points are marked on the graph. Cardiac cycle phase durations are determined on time axis between the cusp points. M-Z interval corresponds to semilunar heart valves opening phase. Device has two electrodes to be placed in the heart zone on patient body, amplifier having its input connected to the electrodes and its output connected to band-pass filter input and unit for processing data. Switchboard is available between the electrodes and amplifier and in series connected analog-to-digital converter, controller and infrared transmitter. Beside that, data-processing unit is provided. The data-processing unit is formed by in series connected detector, interface unit, processor and display unit. Filtering element output is connected to analog-to-digital converter input. Output of the analog-to-digital converter is connected to controller input. The first control output is connected to the switchboard and its second output is connected to infrared transmitter connected to input connected to detector input via emitted wave in infrared bandwidth. Detector output is connected to interface unit which output is connected to the processor which output is sent to the display unit.

EFFECT: high accuracy of measurements.
