METHOD FOR PREDICTING BURN SHOCK IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B5/02

Abstract RU 2290860 C1

FIELD: medicine, juvenile surgery.

SUBSTANCE: due to noninvasive technique, for example, according to ECG data, one should determine patient's stroke volume (SV), volume of blood inflowing into the left ventricle during early diastole (Ved), volume of blood expelling by left ventricle during the phase of rapid expulsion (Vre) and volume of blood pumping by ascending aorta (Vaa) during the phase of slow expulsion. Moreover, light shock (degree I) in children at thermal lesion should be established by the following criteria: SV above 90% against the norm, Ved above 75%, Vre above 85%, Vaa above 90% against age standard. Average shock (degree II) should be stated by the following criteria: SV above 90-85% against the norm, Ved above 75-65%, Vre above 75-85%, Vaa at the level of 75-90% against age standard. Severe shock (degree III) should be concluded by the following criteria: SV below 85% against the norm, Ved below 65%, Vre below 75% against the norm, Vaa below 75% against age standard. The innovation enables to detect the degree of burn shock in children during the first hours of their entering the hospital and carry out intensive therapy rationally.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of diagnostics.
