SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine area, namely, functional diagnostics in cardiology and therapy. Time indicators of structure of heart cycle in the rest condition, diastoles including duration are register and measured. Thus in addition duration of protodiastolic interval, postsphygmic interval is registered and measured, then the period of heart relaxation is defined under the formula PR=Pr+PI and index of myocardium relaxation is determined, proceeding from a parity: where: IMR - index of myocardiuma relaxation (%), PR - period of a relaxation (sec), Pr - duration of protodiastolic interval (sec), PI - duration of a postsphygmic interval (sec), DO - duration of a diastole (sec). At conformity of IMR size =14.0-22.0% ascertain functional condition of heart, namely, ability of myocardium to relaxation as normoreaction.

EFFECT: method allows increasing accuracy of heart functional condition estimation method at the expense of definition of ability of myocardium to relaxation in diastole of heart cycle.
