FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation refers to special equipment for biomedical investigations in chronic experiments in laboratory rats. It consists of a cage with a groove in one of its walls for free axial rotation of a socket-string fixed at animal's tail and through which one should run through a catheter beyond the limits of the cage for bile outflow externally and a probe to return the bile into rat's body. Being outside the cage the end of bile catheter should be additionally run through a guiding tube. This equipment is supplied with a coupling to connect external departments of the catheter and the probe for reconstructing bile supply into duodenum. A guiding tube is designed to be arch-shapely curved and its inlet foramen is situated at the distance that exceeds the length of terminal department of the tail located outside the cage and in front of the socket-string. Outlet foramen of the tube comes downwards with a disk under it to have the chance to be removed from distal end of bile catheter. The innovation excludes the chance to pull a bile catheter out of the guiding tube.
EFFECT: higher reliability of the equipment suggested.
