FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to duplex stainless steels that can be used in articles working in corrosive media. Invention claims the duplex stainless steel, method for its preparing and industrial article made of this steel. Steel comprises the following components, wt.-%: carbon, below 0.06; chrome, from 15 to less 22.5; nickel, from above 3 to less 4; manganese, below 3.75; nitrogen, from 0.14 to 0.35; silicon, below 2; molybdenum, from above 1.4 to less 2.5; copper, below less 0.5; cobalt, below less 0.2; phosphorus, below 0.05; sulfur, below 0.005; boron, from 0.001 to 0.0035, and iron and impurities, the balance. The proposed steel can be used in making tape, rod, slab, sheet, ingot, tube or pipeline. Invention provides enhancing corrosion resistance, among them, resistance in retaining the strength properties.
