METHOD FOR DETECTION OF SIGNALS REFLECTED FROM MANEUVERING TARGET Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC G01S13/04

Abstract RU 2282873 C1

FIELD: radio detection and ranging, applicable in radar engineering, in systems of primary radar information processing, for detection of a maneuvering target in pulse-Doppler radar stations operating in the conditions with a high pulse repetition, medium pulse repetition frequency.

SUBSTANCE: the method consists in production of multiplications from a signal generation and a multi-channel accumulation of them in amplification channels. The analysis of the comparison results shows that at a practical realization the claimed method, as compared with the prototype method, makes it possible to considerably reduce the quantity of computing operations (by 9.74 times at N=1024, Nν=800 M=20, and by 9.47 times at N=1024, Nν=600 M=20) where N - the number of pulses in a burst, Nν - the number of speed channels, M - the number of acceleration channels. The degree of approximation of the threshold signal-to-noise ratio of the claimed method to the prototype method is considerable and makes up 1.6 dB at N=1024 Nν=800 M=20, which is more significant as compared with the analogs.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
