FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing ureteral stent with rigid conductor into the common bile duct via cystic duct towards the major duodenal papilla. After having been visualized, the major duodenal papilla is dissected with needle papillotome on the stent. When needed, the produced opening dilated with standard papillotome. The ureteral stent pulled into the choledochus is fixed in cystic duct stump with two clips.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in visualizing and dissecting the major duodenal papilla; avoided retroduodenal perforation; stent usability for draining biliary tree and performing postoperative bile discharge control.
