FIELD: producing polymers.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises die, cutting chamber, and cutting system. The die has cylindrical body whose outer side is provided with a number of plates provided with a number of openings for extrusion and a number of passages for supplying melted polymer. The passages are provided inside the cylindrical body accordingly to the perforated plates and are connected to them. The passages are lined with a high heat-conducting material. The cutting chamber has a row of spraying nozzles that generate the jet of droplets of the heat control liquid that is sprayed over the die. The heat control liquid is used for cooling and removing the cut granules. The cutting system has cutting plate secured to the rotating shaft and bearing an assembly of knives. The knives are mounted for permitting the cutting profile of the knife to be positioned radially with respect to the surface of the dies that faces the cutting system. The temperature of the die housing is maintained at a level of softening of the polymer or higher.
EFFECT: prolonged service life.
