FIELD: plug connectors for portable electronic devices.
SUBSTANCE: one connector is made in the form of plug and other one, in the form of socket. Plug connectors have profile of some parts of their shrouds as function of rated power of respective plug connector. Shaped parts of power supply plug will physically interfere with insertion of plug in socket of device connector when rated power of plug connector is higher than that of power supply connector. Proposed set of plug connectors ensures that relevant portable electronic devices connected to plug connector of device will be fed through plug connector of excess-power supply.
EFFECT: enhanced power handled by plug connectors.
