FIELD: surface cleaning devices, particularly to remove old insulation coverings from surface in oil and gas industries.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises vessel with liquid nitrogen, jet means with nozzle adapted to treat surface with abrasive medium and hopper for abrasive particles. The device also has compressed air source and jet. Compressed air source is connected to jet means and liquid nitrogen vessel, which in turn is communicated with jet. Hopper is linked to jet means. Jet and jet means nozzle axes cross in single point of surface to be cleaned.

EFFECT: simplified structure, possibility to control insulation cooling degree and impact applied by abrasive matter to surface to be cleaned, improved economy, increased operational reliability and enhanced cleaning quality.
