FIELD: manufacture of rolled sheets, namely descaling hot rolled strips.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of supplying stream of cooling agent from nozzle crosswise relative to moving strip; creating local zone of stream along width of strip; using gas as cooling agent; feeding gas stream at least by means of one force exciter for forming pulsating controlled gas flow; setting exciter at predetermined level with possibility of motion and with possibility of fixing its position; preliminarily determining points of maximum amplitude values of real waveform of natural oscillations of strip; moving force exciter in such a way that to apply exciting pulses in above mentioned points for extracting target natural tone of oscillations.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of strip descaling without water storage, elimination of intensified wear of nozzles.
