FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of preparation of fuel for combustion. Proposed method of target-oriented preparation of liquid fuel for combustion comes to the following: when preparing water-fuel emulsion, surface-active substance (alkyl benzene sodium sulfonate) is dissolved in water in ratio of 0.15-0.18% of total mass of preparation emulsion in amount of 1:10 at temperature of 60°C and is added into tank with diesel fuel. Then mixing is carried out for 3-5 min and water is added into tank in amount of 30% of total mass of emulsion. This done, emulsion is dispersed with simultaneous heating.
EFFECT: preservation of dispersity and stability of water-fuel emulsion during long time, increased efficiency of internal combustion engines operating on water-fuel emulsion.
