PIT-FALL FOR GROUND TRANSPORT Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC F41H11/06 E01F13/12 

FIELD: means of counteraction to terrorism, in particular, means of prevention of break-through of ground transport facilities, fighting vehicles, mine-strewn motor transport controlled by terrorists-kamikadze inclusive to the guarded territory.

SUBSTANCE: the pit-fall represents a pit on the road covered by a slab installed on supports. At an attempt to break-through to the guarded territory the supports get broken down, and the transport facility-trespasser falls to the pit bottom together with the slab. In case of a blasting of the mine-strewn transport facility the main affecting action of the blast (fragmentation and high-explosive) is directed upwards causing minimum possible injuries to people, as well as to the adjacent buildings and structures.

EFFECT: simple in construction and inexpensive in production.
