FIELD: sports competitions in fire from smoothbore weapon.

SUBSTANCE: the cartridge has a polyethylene cartridge case, primer cap, powder charge, small-shot shell positioned in a wad-container consisting of a container, shock-absorber and an obturator combined in one piece. The wad-container is made of high-pressure polyethylene, the container has four longitudinal slots to 2/3 of its depth, forming four lobes equal in length simultaneously opening at an exit of the wad-container from the barrel, the shock-absorber has a full-strength cellular construction, on which three or four obturation circular bosses are made over its entire length, the cartridge has a quick-burning porous powder used as a powder charge, its bulk density is within 0.5 to 0.55 g/cu.cm.

EFFECT: enhanced completeness of powder combustion and comfort at a reduction of the muzzle pressure.
