FIELD: electrical engineering; high-voltage sulfur hexafluoride switches.

SUBSTANCE: magnetic blowout coil is made of strip wound on insulating former and placed into insulating case coaxially to fixed contact; hermetically sealed insulating case is built of two parts made of composite material. Fastening members are installed on butt-ends of case to join mating parts; materials of insulating case and fastening members installed thereon, as well as those of mating parts have almost same coefficient of linear expansion.

EFFECT: enhanced mechanical and electric strength, tightness, and chemical stability, simplified design, facilitated manufacture, reduced cost.
