FIELD: radio communications engineering.

SUBSTANCE: in proposed method and device for adaptive radio communications quality of communication channel is estimated by comparing signal of control combination, level of which signal is measured within given limits, and similar signal, distorted by noises and interference in point of receipt. On each frequency, allocated for communication, number of errors is counted, maximal transmission speed is determined and frequency, providing maximal transmission speed at minimal signal is selected for communication. Device contains serially connected radio-receiving device, modem and radio-transmitting device, connected to bus of personal computer, which is connected to input-output devices, and also, connected serially, second radio-receiving device, adder, analog-digital converter and computing device, and also generator of control combination signal, attenuator and digital-analog converter.

EFFECT: achievement of maximal bandwidth capacity of communication line.
