FIELD: medicine, oncosurgery.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with treating rectal cancer. One should fulfill sigmoid descending in case of rectal abdominal-anal resection, apply a transplant out of sigmoid flexure through anal sphincter; moreover, it is necessary to create the rotation of sigmoid transplant being below pelvic diaphragm backwards and up wards, the rotation corresponds to anatomical rectal position, rectus should be dissected 1 cm below anal sphincter for the length of 3 cm, cross an anal-coccygeal ligament cross-sectionally, suture right-hand wall of the transplant at the middle of the distance between mesenteric and counter-mesenteric edges stepping against transplant's distal edge, out of small pelvis one should apply the ends of ligature onto perineal skin. While descending one should apply the transplant its mesentery being to the right, with right-hand wall towards sacrum, the ends of ligatures should be tightened n skin. The innovation enables to create anatomical conditions that exclude the development of anal incontinence after sigmoid descending.
