FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transmission systems of locomotive with motors mounted on driving axles and bogies. Proposed wheel-motor unit of locomotive consists of traction electric motor 1 secured on axle 4 of wheelset. Traction electric motor is suspended on horizontal section 9 of additional cross beam 8 which is rigidly coupled with covers of axle boxes 6 of wheelset by vertical sections 7.
EFFECT: improved reliability of device.
