METHOD FOR EXTRACTION OF STEEP COAL BEDS OF AVERAGE POWER AND THIN ONES Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC E21C41/18 

FIELD: mining industry, possible use for underground extraction of steep coal beds.

SUBSTANCE: method includes preparation of extraction column by driving ventilation and transport drifts and cutting mounting chamber at angle of about 80 degrees to bed expansion line towards following movement of cleaning face, mounting sections of mechanized supports and cleaning combine, extraction of coal by cleaning combine with self-flowing transport of extracted coal along the face, support of cleaning face by sections of mechanized supports and control over mountain pressure by fully collapsing the ceiling. Extraction of coal is performed in accordance to shuttle scheme using two-side action combine, cleaning face is held by sections of self-driving support, mounted at an angle of about 45 degrees to bed falling line by moving device, positioned below posts along bed falling line. Movement of support sections is performed in direction towards cleaning face and ventilation drift, while sections that enter ventilation drift after technical maintenance are mounted in lower part of cleaning face at junction with transport drift.

EFFECT: increased efficiency and safety of extraction.
