FIELD: converter engineering; power supplies for induction heaters.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for starting self-excited parallel current inverter built around dual-operation rectifiers generating forward and backward half-wave voltages across load includes generation of start control pulses and their supply to rectifiers producing forward and backward half-wave voltages across load from moment of start signal supply, take-off of start control pulses, generation of main control pulses and their alternate supply to rectifiers producing forward and backward half-wave voltages across load. Voltage level is assigned and measured across current inverter input. Voltage level across current inverter input is compared with assigned value. Start signal is supplied when voltage level across current inverter input exceeds assigned value. First and second time intervals are assigned. Start control pulses are generated and supplied to rectifiers producing forward half-wave voltage across load. Upon expiration of first time interval start control pulses are picked off rectifiers generating forward half-wave voltage across load. Start control pulses are produced and supplied to rectifiers generating backward half-wave voltage across load. Upon expiration of second time interval start control pulses are taken off rectifiers producing backward half-wave voltage across load. Then main control pulses are generated and alternately supplied to rectifiers producing backward and forward half-wave voltages across load.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.
