SUBSTANCE: proposed device that makes it possible, among other things, to enhance converter power by 2.3% and to reduce input current by 2.3% has transformer, rectifier, smoothing reactor, motor incorporating series-connected armature winding and field winding, shunt resistor, desired current calculator, control system, first and second comparison gates, first and second current sensors. Alternating-current rating of shunt resistor is lower than field winding resistance.

EFFECT: ability of reducing or actually eliminating magnetic flux ripples without reducing field current in transients.
