FIELD: plastic working of metals.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes upper and lower plates; clamping members mounted with possibility of motion one towards other in plane of metallic belt; bending punch; under-die plate provided with spring-loaded locking members; die halves with grooves; wedges secured to upper plate with possibility of engaging with die halves; strippers mounted in upper plate with possibility of vertical motion of grooves of die halves; П-shaped brackets secured to upper plate; rockers jointly mounted in under-die plate and engaging with spring loaded locking members; small wedges mounted on П-shaped brackets below working surfaces of die halves along their symmetry axis and with possibility of engaging with rockers. Working surface of bending punch has zigzag profile whose zigzags are inclined relative to horizontal plane. Working surfaces of die halves have contour corresponding to lengthwise vertical halves of said zigzag profile whose zigzags in closed state are arranged in staggered fashion. In order to fix formed corrugation after movement of metallic belt, one die half has lengthwise protrusions with inclined faces. One of said protrusions has working surface engaging with working surface of bending punch.

EFFECT: possibility for producing complex-shape corrugations.
