TUBE FOR CASSETTE-PANEL OF HEAT-INSULATING SHIELD OF ROLLER TABLE OF STRIP HOT ROLLING MILL Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B21B1/26 

FIELD: production of hot rolled strips on strip mill.

SUBSTANCE: proposed tube for cassette-panel of rolling mill has two horizontal, two vertical and two end walls; it is filled with heat insulator. Both horizontal walls of tube are secured to vertical walls by means of hinges. Tube is provided with supporting reinforcing members inside it for reinforcing its cross section and enhancing its stability; reinforcing members are placed in sections of tightening the tube in forming the cassette-panel. Reinforcing members are not in contact with horizontal walls of tube but they are brought in contact with hinges and vertical walls of tube. Reinforcing members are made in form of short tubes copying the inner contour of tube; they are made at rounded-off radius at corners of cross section to ensure contact with reinforcing members.

EFFECT: possibility of making use of both horizontal walls of tube.
