FIELD: transport engineering; passenger cars.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ventilation and air-conditioning system contains air conditioner arranged in ceiling space of car with branch pipes to suck in outside and recirculation air and branch pipe to deliver air processed by air conditioner into central plenum air duct arranged in ceiling space of car over its length and provided with outlet holes to deliver air into each compartment of car. System is furnished with device to disinfect air, cleaning it from microorganism and viruses, said devices being installed in each compartment close to outlet of central air duct and/or in corridor of car close to inlet of exhaust air duct. Disinfection device is made in form of rigid housing of dielectric material in form of flat parallelepiped. "M" channels are found in body of housing in one plane and parallel to each other which accommodate system of electrodes and electrostatic precipitation containing oppositely charged electrodes separated by dielectric plates installed in turn across flow of air, electrodes and plates being made of high-porosity material.
EFFECT: provision of disinfection of air delivered into passenger compartments.
