FISH PROTECTIVE DEVICE Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC E02B8/08 

FIELD: hydraulic building, particularly fish-protective devices built in water intake structures to prevent young fish from penetration in water intakes.

SUBSTANCE: fish protective device comprises suction pipe arranged in waterway and provided with orifice facing water surface. The device also has netted web made as truncated cone and coaxially installed inside the suction pipe, radial stiffening members fixedly connected with larger truncated cone base and with drive, which moves the cone in vertical plane. The device comprises spring-type damping means arranged along larger cone base perimeter and adapted to support larger base of truncated cone, which is located in suction pipe orifice plane. Lesser cone base is connected to pipe coaxially installed inside inlet head of fish and rubbish removal means. The fish and rubbing removal means are coaxial to suction pipe. Drive, which moves truncated cone in vertical plane, is made as ball connected to radial member centers by means of control-rod and arranged in front of inlet orifice of pipe connected to lesser cone base.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of netted web cleaning and young fish diversion due to continuous netted web reciprocation in vertical plane by means of ball subjected to action of water flow entering the fish and rubbish removal means, which causes vertical ball position change.
